Imports in Cayman Islands decreased to 194 KYD Million in the third quarter of 2016 from 194.70 KYD Million in the second quarter of 2016. Imports in Cayman Islands averaged 286.37 KYD Million from 1971 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 976.30 KYD Million in the fourth quarter of 2005 and a record low of 8.90 KYD Million in the fourth quarter of 1971. The Cayman Islands mostly imports recreational vehicles, coal, transportation vehicles, aircraft, fuel, soybeans, natural gas, jewellery and furniture. The Cayman Islands’ main imports partner is the United States, accounting for more than 90 percent of total imports. Others include Germany, Switzerland, Jamaica, the United Kingdom and Mexico.
